There once was a little girl that yearned to be a psychiatrist,

so that she could peer into every ones head.

Find the root of their sorrow

in order to make it end.

But the little girl grew up and found

that cruelty and suffering were all around,

so she decided to paint instead

in order to keep her sanity sound...

What other way can you properly describe yourself except in poorly written poetry?! lol

My name is Crystal Lugo and I'm an artist.  This is the part where I'm supposed to describe my accomplishments and degrees so that I can validate myself as such but unfortunately, this is also the part where I admit that I have none...

I have no degree, no diplomas and the only accomplishments that I can vouch for is when I actually "finish" something.  Don't get me wrong, I graduated from high school and attended college and I'm actually a year away from a Bachelors in 'Computer Animation' but I got pulled away for personal reasons and now haven't the time or the means to actually finish, though I intend to eventually. 

Sounds depressing eh?  Well it is, but when you strip away all the "legitimacy" that makes an artist profitable, one thing still remains true: 

I LOVE art. 

I love looking at it, dreaming about it, creating it and it's about time that I share that obsession with others that also feel the same way!

There's got to be a tons of us "behind the scenes" secretly painting in some back alley out of the spotlight so this is my way of calling out to all of you
so that you may join me in WAR!!!
Ok ok, that might seem a little extreme but what I would like to accomplish with this blog is to gain some positive criticism, advise or tips that you think could help me improve and grow as an artist. Even just a simple conversation would be welcome because the truth of the matter is, that life is one big learning experience and there's never enough time to appreciate the beauty around us, much less attempt to recreate our version of it...
